棕刚玉是以优良铝矾土为原料，经过高温熔炼而成。呈棕褐色，硬度高，韧性大，耐高温，耐腐蚀。用其制造的磨具，适用于碳素钢、可锻铸铁、硬青铜等的磨削。在耐火材料、化工添加剂、精湛铸造及防滑材料等方面也有广泛应用。此外，其微粉还可做湿式或者干式喷射砂，超精研磨和抛光。

Brown fused alumina is produced by smelting high-quality bauxite at high temperatures. It is brownish in color, highly hard, extremely tough, and resistant to high temperatures and corrosion. Abrasives made from it are suitable for grinding carbon steel, malleable cast iron, and hard bronze. It is also widely used in refractory materials, chemical additives, precision casting, and anti-slip materials. In addition, its micro-powder can be used for wet or dry sandblasting, as well as for superfinishing and polishing.
